In his official lecture on the pandemic, health authorities reported that Mexico already accumulates 220,159 deaths from Covid-19, with 258 new deaths in the most recent 24 hours. Regarding new infections, the official figure from the Ministry of Health was 2,880 for a total of 2 million 377,995.
With these data, Mexico is the fourth country in the world with the most deaths associated with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, behind the United States, Brazil and India. Regarding the estimated cases, the numbers would amount to 2 million 564,604, with 19,239 active (who presented symptoms less than 15 days ago).
As for patients who have recovered from the global disease, the federal agency reported that the figure is one million 897 thousand 587.
The occupation of general hospital beds is 10% nationwide and 14% in beds with assisted breathing mechanism for the most severe cases. This means that the decline against its peak in January is 84 percent.
