The Suroît Hospital Foundation has surrounded itself with local businesses to offer the Grand Air Escape Draw, presented by INFOSuroît. Launched in mid-April, the draw was made possible thanks to the participation of several businesses in the region, such as Giant Valleyfield, the Saint-Anicet Golf Club, Pélican, Metro Plus Alimentation Francine Roy, Sports Experts and the SEPAQ.
This first edition of the draw was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and health measures issued by the government, which will lead the population of Suroît to plan a summer vacation closer to home. Like last summer, the population is likely to turn to outdoor activities to occupy the few hot months ahead.
It is with this in mind that the Foundation has decided to set up a draw whose prizes will allow people in the region to benefit from various equipment or subscriptions, while promoting local businesses.
“It is very important for us to focus on the local and promote regional businesses, not only because of the pandemic, but also because our community is fortunate to have several entrepreneurs who offer wonderful opportunities. Since many people are preparing to spend their vacation in Quebec with outdoor activities, some outdoor equipment is already scarce or more expensive. We wanted the Foundation’s donors to have the chance to equip themselves to discover or continue to practice their favorite activities while respecting the health measures currently in place, ”said Michèle Cyr-Lemieux, Executive Director of the Hospital Foundation. du Suroît.
Tickets for the raffle, available on the website of the Suroît Hospital Foundation at a cost of $ 20, will be available until Thursday, May 20, midnight.
