The donor man died after presenting brain death, after this, his family decided to donate organs, his two kidneys were transplanted to two young people.
The procedure was carried out in the Regional General Hospital (HGR) 6 of Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas; under strict biosafety protocols to rule out Covid-19 in the donor.
After all the routine procedures, the organs were airlifted to Nuevo León, where they were already transplanted to young patients at the High Specialty Medical Unit (UMAE) 25 in Monterrey.
