A 17-year-old teenager was stabbed to death this Friday, May 14 in Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne). The alleged beating, a 15-year-old teenager, was arrested.
The events took place in the city of Pierre and Marie Curie. The drama would have its origin in a rivalry on social networks, according to a police source.
The Créteil prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation. According to Philippe Bouyssou, mayor of Ivry-sur-Seine, it is above all a “form of harassment on social networks”. The victim had wanted to try a “mediation” because the alleged perpetrator of the beatings had “violently attacked the teenager’s little sister on social networks”.
“I am deeply sad and shocked that this kind of confusion could lead to such a tragedy,” added Philippe Bouyssou.
Deadly brawls
This drama is not the first of its kind. Fatal teenage brawls returned to the news during the beating of 14-year-old Yuriy in January in Paris.
In February, two teenagers were killed in two separate brawls in Essonne. At the beginning of March, it was two young people from Champigny-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), who had clashed with knives, causing two serious injuries.
