Creole, Gabonese singer, gave the reasons why she moved to Ivory Coast for a few months.
Creole: “The ministers to whom we show our pointy breasts, our buttocks … there are no more in Gabon”
Arrived in Abidjan since the beginning of February 2021, the Gabonese singer, Creole, has not left Ivorian territory since then. Many Internet users were wondering the reasons which keep the sulphurous singer on the shores of the Ebrié Lagoon. She spoke on the subject at the microphone of Media Prime.
“ I don’t know what we did in Gabon, but the gap between us and the Ivory Coast in terms of valuing artists is very large. Currently in Gabon, artists have hardly been working for almost three years with this situation due to Covid 19. Everything is closed: bars, night clubs, restaurants, theaters, these places where artists can promote their works. With the curfew from 6 p.m. until the next morning, Gabon is currently a country more conducive to studies. After class, students return home at 6 p.m. They don’t go out anymore. They are studying, ” she said.
Then to add: “ The ministers do not last longer in their posts. They are appointed today and the days that follow, they are removed from their positions. So much so that the ministers to whom we show our pointy breasts, our buttocks in exchange for banknotes, there are no more in Gabon. My songs, who do I compose them for? I register them in the hundreds of thousands. Why, if I can’t make a living from it? … While being settled in Abidjan, I have the possibility of earning money through my shows. I go to Mali, to Dakar for performances and to promote my works, ” said Créole.
