The Firecracker That Killed 1 Person in Kudus was a Fantastic Size

HOLY, KOMPAS.com – Firecrackers made from rolled paper that killed one person and injured three people in Karangrowo Village, Undaan District, Regency Holy, Central Java, is known to be quite large.

Kapolres Kudus AKBP Aditya Surya Dharma said, from the results of the police investigation, the paper firecrackers were about 50 centimeters high with a diameter of 20 centimeters.

“These firecrackers are homemade from rolls of paper. We once again appeal not to play with firecrackers,” said Aditya when contacted. Kompas.com, Thursday (13/5/2021).

As for firecracker explosion in Karangrowo Village, it occurred around 19.30 WIB.

One student died and three of his friends were injured in the explosion.

According to Aditya, the four victims were known to be fellow villagers who wanted to set off firecrackers to celebrate the moment of Eid.

But unlucky, unexpectedly, the explosion of the firecracker made of rolls of paper actually grabbed the four victims.

The victim died with the initials TM (19).

Meanwhile, the three injured victims were KA (19), MF (18), and MN (16).

“The four victims are residents of Karangrowo Village and set off firecrackers on the side of the road,” said Aditya.

All victims were taken to Mardi Rahayu Kudus Hospital.

The three survivors are currently still undergoing treatment.
