A renowned research group from the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) has released a ranking of offspring playing in their clubs this week. Among the 27 European leagues, this statistic is dominated throughout Europe by the Slovak club MŠK Žilina, for which the offspring played the most on average in the 2020/2021 season, 61.5% of completed minutes.

According to the website of the 7-time Slovak champion, a total of up to 15 football players who went through the Academy of MŠK Žilina (at least three seasons between the ages of 15 and 21) started in the current season behind the A-team “Šošonov”.

As part of an extensive study, the CIES research group found that the children of MŠK Žilina are the busiest in 419 European clubs, when they played 61.5 percent of minutes in the current season. This means that out of a total of 2610 minutes (statistics as of May 5 – ie up to and including the 29th round), the pupils belonged to a total of 1,605 minutes.

Namely, they are (from the busiest) Samuel Petráš, Dávid Ďuriš, Ján Minárik, Branislav Sluk, Ján Bernát, Adam Kopas, Kristián Vall, Jakub Paur, Patrik Myslovič, Dominik Javorček, Patrik Iľek, Adrián Kaprálik, Tomáš Nemčík and Adam Golík Jambora.

An interesting fact is also that another Slovak fortunal league club MFK Ružomberok was placed on the eighth place in this indicator. The “Rose” offspring played 48.9 percent of the minutes. The second is the Ukrainian Dynamo Kyiv and the third Sigma Olomouc from the Czech Republic.
