Jean-Yves Grall reported on Wednesday an improvement in epidemiological indicators and in particular a decrease in the number of patients in critical care.
Jean-Yves Grall let out a smile this Wednesday on the set of BFM Lyon. The director of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes welcomes the improvement of health indicators in the region, and more particularly in the Rhône. An improvement such that he allowed caregivers to resume deprogrammed surgical activities at the peak of the third wave.
“I asked that the interventions can resume normally since this week, he indicated this Wednesday on our antenna. (…) All this requires a reinstatement of course but we are really going towards a considerable improvement and I hope it will return to normal within a few weeks. “
“-20 to 30% of beds”
This resumption of so-called non-urgent operations follows a drop in the incidence rate and above all “a very sharp decrease in patients in intensive care”. And Jean-Yves Grall to add: “It continues to decrease day by day”.
“We still remain at a relatively high level of occupation of our resuscitations, he insisted on qualifying. But this is normal. All this is changing.”
As a result of the desaturation of intensive care services, some of the beds created at the height of the health crisis have been reallocated. The total number of resuscitation beds was thus reduced by “20 to 30% in a few days compared to the peak”.
