Norwegian citizen died in Pakistan

– The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware that a Norwegian citizen has died in Pakistan. The embassy has been in contact with the Pakistani authorities, and we provide consular assistance, press spokesperson Ane Haavardsdatter Lunde states.

The man was killed, according to the police report, which Aftenposten has read. When asked if the man was killed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs answers that they will not comment on this.

The killing is said to have taken place in the village of Sikarali in the Kharian district. The victim is said to be a pensioner, and has mostly been in Pakistan lately, according to Aftenposten’s information.

The victim’s wife says they were attacked at home by six men. The man is said to have died on the spot from gunshot wounds, according to the report, of which Aftenposten has received a copy.
