The main attraction of the VIVE Pro 2 model is the high 5K resolution, so the novelty offers a higher resolution than any 4K TV. The virtual impression is created thanks to a pair of displays with an RGB matrix, each offering a resolution of 2.5K for one eye.

The image is very sharp not only due to the high resolution, we can also owe the use of a special optical assembly integrating for each eye two lenses instead of one. In addition, the refresh rate is 120 Hz, so the glasses are also suitable for playing games.

For maximum user comfort, the VIVE Pro 2 has a smooth adjustment of the eye distance, a comfortable system of attachment on the head and, last but not least, a perfect front-to-rear balance. The manufacturer therefore promises that even during long virtual sessions, there is no risk of headaches and eye pain from an unsuitable distance between the lenses or straining of the occipital muscles, which are otherwise commonly caused by headsets with a center of gravity on the front.

AMD and Nvidia participated in the production of glasses, specifically in the Display Stream Compression technology. Thanks to it, maximum visual quality can be achieved even when connected via DisplayPort 1.2. In practice, all image enhancements should be enjoyed by owners of older graphics cards.
–
The novelty is compatible with all the previously mentioned accessories of the Steam VR standard, so it can be supplemented with, for example, VIVE Trackers, VIVE Facial Tracker and third-party accessories such as Valve Index controllers, or various variants of VR gloves.

VIVE Pro 2 glasses will be on sale from August 4 for CZK 37,490.
–
Even earlier – on June 24 – a second novelty will appear on store shelves, targeting professional users, the VIVE Focus 3 model. The manufacturer makes no secret of the fact that with the troika it targets mainly the corporate segment, although support for 5K resolution is also not missing. There is a 90Hz refresh rate as well as an RGB subpixel arrangement.
–
Highlights of the VIVE Focus 3 are the integrated speakers, which have two drivers for each ear. The producer promises that they will be able to convey a much more faithful musical experience. As with the VIVE Pro 2, emphasis was placed on improving overall ergonomics and comfort in use.
–
The computing power of this headset is provided by a specially modified version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset, which is cooled by a 15W copper heat pipe and a fan. As a result, the processor does not overheat even if you use it all day.
