Chelsea midfielder snubs Leeds advances in attempt to get Tuchel’s attention – EzAnime.net

Midfielder Conor Gallagher will reportedly reject any advancement from Premier League clubs as he is eager to prove himself at Chelsea.

The 28-year-old rose through the youth ranks of the Blues and signed professional terms in 2018. However, the England Under-21 ace has yet to make a senior appearance for West Londoners. He signed a new three-year contract in 2019 and was loaned out to championship club Charlton Athletic for 2019-2020.

However, the Epsom-born star was retired by the Stamford Bridge team in January 2020. He scored six goals in 26 appearances with the Addicks and was loaned to Swansea City for the remainder of that season.

Gallagher he then made 21 second division stars for the Swans before returning to Chelsea last summer. The talented schemer put pen to paper on a new five-year contract with Chelsea in the summer of 2020.

But, once again, he was cast out by a temporary spell, this time in West Brom. Although the Baggies have been relegated, they have impressed, with some clubs taking notice.

He seems to have a way of getting the best out of his players and last month challenged the young talent to show their true colors.

“It is not just my decision, but it is his responsibility to show and this is what he does,” said Tuchel. “This is not the time to make decisions now for Connor, but I am well aware that he is still our player. We have crucial weeks ahead of us now and for him on his mission to West Brom as well.

“He made his way as a loan player, which is very impressive. It never stops getting better.

Newcastle United is another club believed to be interested, but Gallagher is focused on Bridge. He has played for England at all youth levels from the Under-17s onwards.

He was one of the Three Lions that won the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. His next chance to shine will be when Albion host Liverpool to the Hawthorns on Sunday.
