25-year-old Samuel Adegbenro is successful in IFK Norrköping. In the summit with AIK, the winger, who most recently played in Norwegian Rosenborg, scored both goals of the match.
First, he nodded in 1-0 after just over an hour of play. Then he fixed 2-0 in the final minutes, also on a nod. With the two goals, Adegbenro stands at a total of five goals in five matches, which places him at the top of the shooting league.
– Not only me but everyone is very happy about the win. We work hard, he tells SVT Sport.
Tributes to Norling
Adegbenro pays tribute to his new coach Rikard Norling.
– He is one of the best coaches I have had. He’s very different from what I’m used to. He makes you want to do well.
For IFK Norrköping’s coach, it was a special match when he was fired from AIK, which he trained for two stays, last year.
– Whatever you say in this context, it risks going wrong. I’m just extremely happy that we won today against a great team, says Norling.
He is, not so surprisingly, happy with his shooter king.
– Fantastically good. He’s damn dangerous and extremely strong. Glad he’s scoring.
“Seb” dissatisfied
Norrköping took the third straight victory and steps up as a new second in the Allsvenskan table. AIK, who in the event of a win had shared the league lead with Djurgården, slips down to a fifth place.
– We are too bad in both penalty areas, it’s sour. This must hurt today and then we have to look ahead, says Sebastian Larsson to SVT Sport.
