The world is big and miracles lurk everywhere! A woman had not one, two or three children at once, but nine! The miracle happened on Tuesday, and the lucky one is a young mother from Mali, writes BBC.
Before the birth, the ultrasound showed the presence of seven babies in the womb of 25-year-old Halima Cisse, but what was the surprise of the doctors when it turned out that two more babies were expecting their appearance in the white world.
Halima’s pregnancy with so many babies caught the attention of the leaders of the West African country even before the birth of her children. After doctors announced in March that the woman needed specialized help because of her full womb, authorities reacted with lightning speed and rushed to help. So Cisse ended up in Morocco, where she gave birth to her children.
“Newborns – five girls and four boys, as well as the mother are feeling well,” reads the good news, which the Minister of Health of Mali Fant Sibia spread among the world media. The children were born by caesarean section.
