As the new road construction and repair season begins, companies in the industry have taken care of supplementing and modernizing their technical arsenals. The road construction company Igate has also purchased a new high-yield road surface repair machine “Strassmayr R 7500 Trailer Vario” from a road construction and maintenance company in Poland this spring.
This is a heavy-duty machine with a computer control system for road surface repairs using emulsion and gravel technology. The operator panel allows you to activate and deactivate all sections of the machine individually or all together. The machine is capable of repairing road surfaces up to 4 meters wide, and the width of the work surface is hydraulically adjustable.
“Before each new road construction season, we try to modernize our equipment. Another significant purchase has been made this year, and the new equipment will not only facilitate the work of the operator and builders, but will also significantly increase productivity and quality, ”predicts Gusts Kalinins, CEO of Igate.
The Igate surface repair machine was purchased together with the Strassmayr T1000 tank, which provides a longer surface treatment cycle without stopping fillings.
Strassmayr is an Austrian family business that started in 1938 as a metalworking manufacturer. Since 1965, Strassmayr has been manufacturing road construction and repair machines.
Igate will soon receive a new low-floor trailer for transporting equipment. It should be noted that in this road construction season, Igate is also starting to use the BOMAP rolling application, which allows to obtain data on the paved road surface and its exact thickness. The data is seen by both roller operators and remotely available to supervisors and controllers. Data for each object will be saved and can be used for quality checks.
