The Xunta de Galicia de-escalation begins in the different autonomous communities unevenly, according to the level of incidence of each health area. He also announced that From this weekend the shopping centers will be able to reopen during the weekends throughout Galicia.
This was announced this Monday by the president of the Xunta, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, at the press conference after the meeting of the clinical committee that has evaluated the epidemiological situation of the community and has proposed the measures to be taken.
Specific, measures such as the current ones – total closure of hotels and municipal perimeter closure, in addition to meetings only of cohabitants – will maintain those municipalities that exceed 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within 14 days. There are 17 municipalities, which represent 2.6% of the population.
The remaining 83% of the Galician population lives, however, in municipalities that are in a better situation andDepending on the number of cases and the occupation of the ICU, they will be able to move between town halls in the same epidemiological situation, reopen the hotel business and hold meetings between non-cohabitants.
A total of 107 municipalities with an incidence between 500 and 250 cases, including the areas of A Coruña, Ferrol and Pontevedra -Due to its hospital situation-, the meetings will be of a maximum of 6 people and the hotel business will only open on the terrace. In those that are below 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, such as the areas of Santiago, Lugo, Ourense or Vigo, You can reopen the hotel business until 6:00 p.m. 30% indoors and 30% on the terrace and the meetings will be of up to four people.
The regional president also assured that the situation is still not ideal and therefore, in case the data worsens, restrictions will also be applied again, and in fact, Feijóo hinted that it is most likely that the Easter week is affected by the restrictions.
