Emil S., 54, will face the Veliko Tarnovo District Court for the murder of a woman in the village of Polikraishte, uncovered five years later.
The case was instituted under an indictment of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo, by which the defendant Emil S. was accused that on an unspecified date in February 2015 in the village of Polikraishte, municipality. Gorna Oryahovitsa, deliberately killed 49-year-old Tsvetelina Hristova, known in the village as Tsetsa Valchitsata. Emil stabbed the woman several times in the upper body with a kitchen knife, then hid the body in the outside toilet. After Ceca’s disappearance, she was declared wanted by her relatives, but no one connected Emil with what happened.
The murder was uncovered last September when the new owner of the House of Horrors came across human bones in a nailed closet in the yard. They turned out to be the missing Ceca.
Emil lived in the house of his brother, a local priest, in Polikraishte and worked as a general worker, but with his income he bought mostly alcohol and abused it. He knew Ceca, who lived in a village in the village, worked in the vegetable industry and also often abused alcohol. On the evening of February 2015, she went to Emil’s house and was visibly drunk. While they were talking and drinking wine, Ceca began to move the accused’s belongings. Annoyed by her actions, he stabbed her several times with a knife in the body. The woman then left the room and, as a result of her injuries, fell into the corridor and died.
In the morning he saw the body, realized that the woman was dead and hid her body in an outside toilet, whose door he nailed. Emil continued to live in the property until July 2020, when a fire broke out in the house. The building became uninhabitable and the owner sold the property. During the clean-up, Ceca’s bones were found and the case unfolded.
