About 200 Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli police in East Jerusalem. This was the report of the Palestinian news agency, WAFA, on Friday night.

The most violent clashes took place near the al-Aqsa mosque, where rubber bullets, stun grenades and tear gas were used by Israeli police against Palestinian mobs. After that, more than 200 officers stormed the mosque’s courtyard and prayer room, forcing worshipers to leave the building.
Currently, clashes continue on the outskirts of Sheikh Jarrah. According to WAFA, dozens of Palestinians have been detained, more than 20 have to be hospitalized.
“In addition, Israeli police officers hindered the work of journalists covering the incident,” said the WAFA report, adding that two Palestinian journalists were seriously injured as quoted by TASS, Saturday (8/5).
