President Jokowi also enjoys THR, this is the nominal

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – As a state official, President Joko Widodo (President Jokowi) also deserves holiday allowances or THR. The same goes for Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.

THR certainty for high state officials was obtained after the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati signed the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 42 of 2021.

In the PMK, it is stipulated that every high-ranking state official gets an THR with a calculation component of the basic salary and some inherent allowances such as family allowances and job allowances.

Then how much is President Jokowi’s basic salary, which is the component of this year’s THR (THR President Jokowi)?

The basic salary for the president has been regulated in Government Regulation Number 75 of 2000 concerning Basic Salary for the Head of State High Institutions. Then Law Number 7 of 1978 concerning Administrative Financial Rights of the President and Vice President.

In Law Number 7 of 1978, the president’s salary is set at 6 times the highest basic salary of state officials other than the president and vice president.

Meanwhile, for the salary of the vice president, which is 4 times the highest basic salary of state officials other than the president and vice president.

For information, the salary of the highest state official apart from the president and vice president is Rp. 5,040,000 per month, which is the salary for high-ranking state officials at the level of the chairman of the DPR and the chairman of the MPR.

This means that the president’s salary is IDR 30,240,000 or 6 x IDR 5,040,000 per month. Meanwhile, the vice president’s salary is IDR 20,160,000 or 4 x 5,040,000 per month.

So far there has been no revision of the regulation. In other words, there has been no increase in the salary of the president and the salary of the vice president since the era of President Abdurrahman Wahid.

In addition to basic salaries, the president and vice president also receive a position allowance that is regulated in Presidential Decree (Kepres) Number 68 of 2001.

The amount of the presidential allowance is set at Rp. 32,500,000 per month (what is the president’s salary). Then for the vice president position, you get a position allowance of IDR 22,000,000.
