The 90 Russian tour operators who are visiting Nueva Esparta state held a business meeting with authorities from the Ministry of Tourism, the protector of Nueva Esparta, Dante Rivas, and representatives of the entity’s business chambers.
Anastacia Pirogova, director of the RuTravel Russia tour operator, said she was very happy with the reception that the Venezuelan people have given them and indicated their willingness to promote the island of Margarita in the Eurasian country.
“This country is wonderful. We are here to meet and also to support you in difficult times. We have very good expectations because we are sister countries. We thank all the authorities for the attention they have given us. Now we are going to promote this beautiful tourist destination and we also hope to have Venezuelans in Russia very soon, ”he said.
The Vice Minister of International Tourism, Leticia Gómez, explained that this visit represents an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen commercial, tourist and brotherhood relations with Russia, for the benefit of the peoples of both nations.
During the presentation of the destination, he affirmed that this familiarization trip is a sample of the policy that Venezuela is advancing to diversify its economy through tourism, highlighting the enormous potential that the country has in this area because it is multi-destination, mega-diverse, peaceful and safe .
“We are also making great efforts to expand national connectivity. For this reason, Conviasa incorporated the Caracas – Moscow – Caracas route to receive this important market and also for our compatriots to know the charms of Russia, “said Gómez.
The protector Dante Rivas, for his part, offered a warm welcome to the visitors and affirmed that tourism is an important engine for Venezuela and much more for Nueva Esparta, so they are determined to strengthen it by creating alliances between the Government, businessmen, the chambers, the service providers, the people and the brother countries.
