In a telephone conversation, the suspect informs the interlocutor of the details of the incident at the border and admits that he was run over by the border guard’s car.
In the court in the case of the murder of border guard Vadim Berezensky, an audio recording was presented in which the suspect confesses that he ran over an employee with a car. This was announced on Friday, May 7, by the press service of the State Border Service.
It is noted that the hearing took place the day before in the Tyachevsky District Court. In negotiations with his accomplices, the suspect actually confessed to the crime he had committed, in particular, saying that he had run over the border guard by a car.
This is the seventh hearing by the new judiciary after the transfer of the case from the Rakhiv District Court. In September 2020, the case began to be considered anew. In eight months, the court met five times to extend the detention of a murder suspect, and only twice to review the evidence in the case.
The court extended the term of detention until July 4 this year.

Magei ran over Berezensky, knocking him down. After that I got up and first detained Shcherbina, and then started shooting at Magei’s car. jumped out of the car and ran away, leaving behind an injured Major Berezensky. “
The next meeting, at which witnesses of the collision with the border guard officer, will probably be heard, is scheduled for June 16.
As reported the downed border guard was in serious condition for almost two days, after which he died.
