ARIZONA- The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is searching for the driver involved in a shooting involving an officer on Friday morning in Phoenix.
The shooting occurred at Glendale and 23 avenues around 12:30 am According to DPS, a police officer stopped a vehicle to stop traffic. When the police officer got out of his vehicle, the driver pulled away, made a U-turn, and tried to run him over.
The officer fired his gun as the suspect fled the scene. The officer was not injured.
No information about the driver was released, but according to authorities the vehicle is a white 2017 Dodge Charger with window tint and temporary license plates.
