After blood donation collections in various museums in order to allow blood donors to benefit from art, the French Blood Establishment (EFS) Brittany also allows donors to benefit from art in the Donation Houses.
Unfortunately, the museums are currently closed due to the health crisis. The population therefore no longer has the possibility of enjoying the various artistic works. But the EFS makes it possible to compensate for this lack by offering blood donors to be in contact with art again in the Donation Centers.
Thus, in Brest, blood donors can take advantage of Isabelle Le Roy’s exhibition: a “childish and light” stance until the end of May. A teacher by profession, Isabelle Le Roy is a versatile artist with a jovial nature. She offers colorful and varied works in several forms: painting, collage, drawing, watercolor, sewing bags and accessories, zero waste objects, etc.
Lucie Marcillat is currently exhibiting her exhibition “Details of Brittany” at the Maison du don du sang in Quimper, which traces some of the stays during which she discovered Breton towns in all their specificity using watercolors.
For two months, in May and June 2021, Pauline Bloquel will exhibit her drawings at the Maison du don de Rennes, located near the CHU Pontchaillou. In her works, she illustrates urban landscapes, in particular Breton towns, but also flora and fauna, with just dots.
Eddy Roy will exhibit his animal photographs during the months of May and June, at the Maison du don de Saint Brieuc. The opportunity to discover the artist, while donating blood or plasma.
