Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (05/06/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 15,979 analyzes were carried out today and 3,592 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 3,592 new cases, 1,396 are from Montevideo, 475 from Artigas, 423 from Canelones, 190 from Salto, 178 from Tacuarembó, 144 from Maldonado, 141 from San José, 108 from Colonia, 92 from Paysandú, 74 from Soriano, 62 from Cerro Largo, 70 from Florida, 56 from Río Negro, 42 from Durazno, 40 from Rivera, 36 from Treinta y Tres, 34 from Rocha, 20 from Lavalleja and 11 from Flores.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,873,060 tests have been processed and 213,449 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 184,506 have already been recovered.

Today, 54 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (a detailed table is attached). So far there are 2,972 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 25,971 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 539 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 6,845 correspond to health personnel. 6,509 of them have already recovered, 318 are suffering from the disease and 18 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 209,867. Today 3,592 new cases and a total of 213,449 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 10 cases were eliminated.
