According to the latest rumor, Asus will present Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip during its event next week. Zenfone 8 is the phone that has been called “Mini” in previous rumors, while Zenfone 8 Flip is larger and offers the same type of rotatable camera as its predecessor.
Zenfone 8 instead has a more traditional punched camera in the upper left corner of the screen. The device looks to be attractive on paper for those who prefer more compact Android phones.
The specifications mentioned are a 5.92-inch screen (probably OLED), Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The resolution listed is FHD +, but the source does not mention higher refresh rates as the first rumor. The battery is said to be real for the size class: 4000mAh with 30W fast charge.
According to the source, the cameras on the back cover have 64MP and 12MP respectively. The source mentions the outer dimensions 148 x 68.5 x 9 millimeters and the weight 170 grams. In that case, it would make the Zenfone 8 a little over a millimeter taller than the relatively neat Iphone 12, and three millimeters narrower. Asus is still claimed to have fit with a 3.5mm jack.
