Good news for those who no longer want German cars. As announced last year, Genesis is preparing to enter Europe. When will this happen?

Hyundai’s luxury division, Genesis, announces that it will launch more models in Europe. The first markets we want to receive will be the United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland. The company will open showrooms in London, Munich and Zurich.

The first products available on the Old Continent will be the G80 sedan and the GV80 SUV and will be able to be ordered by European customers starting this summer, most likely in June. The two will be followed by a station wagon, G70, and another SUV, GV70.

The company’s representatives claim that they will prepare European versions of the models. Also here will arrive three electric cars with the logo of the South Korean manufacturer. The first will be Electrified G80, already released in South Korea.

Asians propose a new service concept. Owners can contact the service, and their cars will be picked up for overhaul or maintenance and returned to the owners at the address provided by them.

What is Genesis?

Hyundai launched the independent brand Genesis in November 2015 to compete with Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi and Lexus globally. The company’s cars are designed in Russelheim in Germany, in Namyang in South Korea and in Irvine in the United States.

Analysts say South Koreans have high chances in the European market. They offer competitive models at lower prices than German rivals. The company also relies on its success this year in South Korea. On the local market, sales recorded in January-April increased by 165% compared to cherries recorded in the same period last year. Last month, the brand was launched in China, the most important market for premium manufacturers Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
