In Arizona, John Daly was arrested, who was a Border Patrol agent and is identified as an alleged serial rapist
The Mesa Police Department (Arizona, United States) arrested an alleged late-1990s serial rapist named John Daly, who was recently a US Border Patrol agent.
According to the Mesa Police, Daly, 57, was arrested today in Sierra Vista, a city on the border with Mexico where he resided.
The former border agent is suspected of having raped at least eight women between July 1999 and October 2001, a situation that led to the local authorities to refer to him as “The East Valley rapist“.
According to the investigation, these eight cases are connected by a similar behavior of the aggressor and, in three of them, it was found ADN of the detainee.
In addition, the local police assured that Daly “He had a residence near each of the victims of the sexual assaults at the time they occurred.”
For this reason, the suspect is currently facing charges related to three cases: one in October 1999, when he allegedly sexually assaulted a 32-year-old woman at her home; another in November 1999, when it is believed that he also raped a 21-year-old girl at her home; and an episode from November 2000, the date Daly allegedly abused another 35-year-old woman in their home.
The authorities of Mesa, a city 30 kilometers east of the state capital, Phoenix, explained that the operation to arrest Daly was a joint effort of several local Police departments, the FBI, the Border Patrol and the Office of Judicial Assistance. from the US Department of Justice
Daly’s arrest comes 22 years after his first alleged violation.
