Suara.com – The research team has just discovered technology that could be revolutionary, who made smartphone battery can maintain original capacity (up to 95 percent) for at least the next five years.
The technology, developed by researchers at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), applies not only to batteries in cellphones, but also to laptops and electric vehicles.
According to reports Gizmochina, Wednesday (5/5/2021), researchers revealed that the weak battery so far occurred because of a problem in the internal arrangement of the battery.
As a result, the battery decreases when it enters charging or charger mode.
In fact, charging 500 times is estimated to have reduced battery capacity by up to 40 percent.
As the leader of the research team, Noriyoshi Matsumi found a binder that was proven to outperform existing technology.
The negative terminal of batteries in use today has a so-called binding material Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) which makes the battery weak.
After 500 recharges, a typical PVDF battery will lose up to 35 percent of its original capacity.
This results in a decrease in battery life in smartphones after one or two years of use.

However, the new binder, Bis-imino-acenaphthenequinone-Paraphenylene (BP), makes it possible to maintain 95 percent of the battery’s capacity, even after over 1700 charges.
