Flamengo surpassed the altitude and beat the LDU, from Ecuador, by 3 to 2, tonight (4), for the third round of the group stage of Libertadores, in an exciting game. The triumph, which made the red-black team maintain 100% of success in the competition and the leadership of Group G, happened with goals from Gabigol, twice, and Bruno Henrique – Borja and Amarilla scored for the hosts.
The number 9, even, scored his 16th goal for Flamengo in games of the Libertadores. In this way, he equaled the mark of Zico, the greatest idol in the history of the club of Gávea, as the club’s top scorers for the tournament.
With the result, Flamengo goes to nine points, while LDU remains with four. Argentina’s Vélez, who beat Chile’s La Calera, has three.
In the next round, coach Rogério Ceni’s team will face Unión La Calera, from Chile. Rubro-Negro returns to the field on Saturday, against Volta Redonda, in Maracanã, for the second game of the semifinal of the Campeonato Carioca.

With Gerson injured, coach Rogério Ceni opted for João Gomes in the starting lineup. Aaron, who was quoted for the vacancy, was kept in defense, forming a duo with Bruno Viana.
Early goal
Flamengo opened the scoring early in the game. When the stopwatch was just two minutes away, Everton Ribeiro stepped forward, passed the mark and triggered Gabigol. The number 9 invaded the area and hit the back of the net.

The hosts got to swing the net 10 minutes later, when, after a corner kick, Zunino got the ball and made it, but the referees pointed out that he was in an irregular position.

Despite the altitude, Flamengo was able to command the actions and dictate the pace of the game. With space in the middle of the field and good pass changes, Rogério Ceni’s men had a good presence in the attack field.
The red-black advantage was extended with a great goal from Bruno Henrique. After the ball passed from foot to foot, Gabigol passed to shirt 27, which hit the first and sent in Gabbarini’s left angle.
