In 2020, the support window for the digitization and robotization of industry or the transformation investment towards “the industry of the future”, operated by the Services and Payment Agency (ASP), received nearly 7,800 requests for an investment amount of over 2.7 billion euros. This state support is offered to companies from now on … The aid provided by the state allows SMEs and midcaps to benefit from a subsidy for a good assigned to an industrial activity on French territory, when this property falls into one of the following categories (detailed by decree):

Robotic and cobotic equipment; Additive manufacturing equipment; Software used for design, manufacturing, transformation or maintenance operations; Integrated machines intended for intensive computing; Physical sensors collecting data on the company’s production site, its production line or on its transit system; Programmable or numerically controlled production machines; Augmented reality and virtual reality equipment used for design, manufacturing, transformation or maintenance operations; Software or equipment the use of which makes use, in whole or in part, of artificial intelligence and used for design, manufacturing or transformation operations, as well as for all maintenance and production optimization operations.

Companies wishing to do so can withdraw the application file on the ASP website (https://www.asp-public.fr/aide-en-faveur-des-investissements-de-transformation-vers-lindustrie-du-futur) then submit their request online from May 3 to June 30, the window may be closed before this date if the applications for assistance submitted reach the envelope of available credits before June 30.

Applications will be reviewed according to their order of arrival, and for eligible companies and projects, aid will be allocated within the limit of available credits.
