Solo –
Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, take off Head of the Gajahan Village Suparno who is suspected of being involved extortion with the zakat and alms model for Eid. After the removal, a banner of support for Suparno appeared from a group of people.
One of the support for Suparno can be seen from the photos scattered on the WhatsApp (WA) messaging application. People can see that they put up a banner with support for Suparno and put it up in front of the Gajahan sub-district office.
It can be seen from the photo, the incident occurred when it was dark. Some of the banners read ‘Save Lurah’, ‘We Trust Suparno’ and ‘Lurah Was Great How Was He Fired’.
“It was installed at 02.00 WIB, but at 06.00 WIB it was removed. The banner was taken to RW 07, the youth was taken there because he was told to clean up. Earlier, the sub-district head was here, Satpol PP was here,” said Chairman of RT 01 / RW 05 Gajahan, Joko Purwanto, when met at his residence, Monday (3/5/2021).
Joko himself admitted that he was disappointed with the removal of the head of the Gajahan village. According to him, Suparno is a good urban village head.
“Disappointed, because he is a good person in the community. I don’t know about the levy, how come I was suddenly fired, so disappointed. The residents supported (the head of the village), they didn’t accept being removed,” he said.
As is well known, Suparno signed a circular requesting funds zakat and alms for Eid al-Fitr made by Linmas Gajahan. The letter is used for community service officers to go around asking for funds as generously as possible from the community.

Joko said that the village head was actually reluctant to sign the letter. He was also sure that Suparno did not enjoy the proceeds from the extortion, because Suparno often covered administrative costs with his personal money.
“Actually, the Head of the Village didn’t want to sign twice, that’s what asked for the linmas. The people are capable (from an economic point of view), I want a tombok. nomboki that, “said Joko.
Meanwhile, the Head of Kliwon Market Sub-district, Ari Dwi Daryatmo, confirmed the banner installation incident. His party has held an audience with residents who put up banners.
“Earlier there was a youth group acting on behalf of Reksoniten residents, we met, we explained the beginning to the end of the case, they then accepted,” said Ari when met at Solo City Hall, Monday (3/5).
Ari also directed the youth to use official channels to convey their aspirations, not through banners.
“I asked to go through official channels, through official letters. There is no name for a banner like this,” he concluded.
