Pieter Aspe started as a writer when he was the caretaker of the Holy Blood Chapel in Bruges. The West Flemish capital plays an important role in Aspe’s books, because it is there that lead character inspector Pieter Van In solves his murders. In “Vlaanderen Vakantieland” he guides us through his books from his regular café, at a Duveltje, around the city.
