“Morena goes to all of them, it doesn’t matter with whom. We secure the best candidates on July 6, no matter with which party. What is obvious is that Sheffield is unpresentable “
Vicente Fox
“How unfortunate it is to see a former president of Mexico involved in the low levels of dirty war. Vicente Fox, people have already woken up ”.
Ricardo Sheffield
The former president turned on Morena’s candidate for mayor of León with a tweet accompanied by a video circulating on networks in which accusations are made anonymously against the now former PAN mayor.
At least in León, and the candidates for mayor had their respective round of meetings with the business sector represented through the chambers in meetings in which it has become clear on which side the iguana chews.
It is evident that, for the PAN Alejandra Gutiérrez Campos, having on her payroll the former president of the Leonese Business Coordinating Council, José Arturo Sánchez Castellanos, means a very important plus for obvious reasons.
The knowledge that this businessman has of the entrails of the cameras and his ancestry but above all now, at this juncture, the stars and circumstances already make the PAN candidate fall “softly” while his adversary Ricardo Sheffield goes against current because of the things that have been said now but also because of the background.
It is no coincidence that Sheffield is reluctant to upload its 3 of 3 statement to the platform that several citizen groups and decentralized power bodies have in Guanajuato.
Without ambiguity, Sheffield assured not to trust that platform that, among other organizations, promotes the citizen council of the State Anti-Corruption Committee and the IACIP. And in that environment the pronouncement of his campaign coordinator Eugenio Martínez Vega against Sapal is generated, chaired by Jorge Ramírez Hernández, former president of Coparmex.
It should not be forgotten that during his tenure as mayor between 2009 and 2012, Sheffield broke the monopoly exercised by business organizations over the CCE in defining city councils and boards.
It was a plausible crusade for Sheffield because it meant dividing up the stake and the positions of representation in those councils and ending the agandalle exercised by the chambers related to the CCE before that triennium and which they fully recovered after that.
The now morenista openly confronted those who then exercised business power and who later appeared with a position in the PAN. With Sánchez Castellanos he did so as mayor and the latter, councilor of the PRI. Now she is a business link for the PAN Gutiérrez Campos.
The president of the CCE was at that time Federico Zermeño, who in 2015 would appear as Héctor López’s councilor as well as other former leaders such as Roberto Novoa (exAnpic), David González (ExCICEG) and Salvador Sánchez, also a notable shoemaker.
These antecedents plus the alignment of Sheffield to Morena, the weight of the blue brand in León, the active participation of organizations such as Coparmex against Q4 and that of figures such as former president Vicente Fox who prescribes tweets to Sheffield, configure him as entrance, a perfect storm of the economic circle of power.
Sheffield (because not even Bárbara Botello kept the same trend) was the only mayor who challenged the business establishment that has always respected the PAN and even more so, López Santillana as mayor and Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo.
It is a very complex customs for Sheffield that he will have realized and if not, it is an open secret in the radio corridor that those business sectors, strategic allies of the state government, gave him and the other candidates the courtesy of attending them.
In that terrain, you know you are entering hostile terrain. The whole universe of voters is not there, but there are those that the PAN generally appeals and now even recruits.
Although almost a year ago he was working openly with the candidate for mayor of Morena, Marcelino Trejo, it was until this Friday that José Guadalupe Pedroza Cobián formalized his resignation from the PRI militancy that dates back 22 years.
Pedroza says in his resignation letter that he is leaving because he considers it incongruous and that it violates his historical identity, his alliance with the PAN.
Pedroza, who was the leader of the PRI in León for a brief period in the barbarist government and was part of that cabinet, was one of the many PRI members who, without openly renouncing their membership, worked for other party causes.
One of the most notable who is in that position is Francisco Arroyo. Pedroza, unlike Eugenio Martínez, has not worn the morenista shirt. The funny thing is that he leaves the PRI for the betrayal of his principles and is with a candidate who has been mistreated and minimized by Morena despite the time, money and effort he has contributed.
NARCOLOCKS AND POLICE DETENTION: 6 AND 10 YEARS
Although the problems of violence in Guanajuato caused by organized crime worsened in the state from the second half of the administration of Miguel Márquez Márquez, the first manifestations of the penetration of crime in the municipal police force occurred 10 years ago.
On a day like today, the then State Attorney’s Office in Guanajuato carried out the arrest of 40 municipal police officers (23 from the municipality of Tarandacuao and the remaining 17 from Acámbaro) in a controversial operation and the most spectacular in the administration of Juan Manuel Oliva in the search to clean the police of the municipalities of the south of the state.
Among the detainees, those who were then acting as director and deputy director of the Police of the second municipality stood out because, according to the Attorney General Carlos Zamarripa, they had been credited with links with La Familia Michoacana, then the great threat to the state.
Look at what things are like, that mayor who then demanded for the arrest of his elements (in fact 14 of them were released due to lack of evidence) is the brother of who is now the PAN candidate for that mayor’s office, Claudia Silva who confirms so his perredism was lip service.
The other curious fact is that after a decade, the Silva Campos family continues to be influential in Acámbaro while Carlos Zamarripa continues to be a key figure in the fight against crime in Guanajuato.
Four years later, a six-year term there was one of the most remembered narco-blockades in the area where it was presented.
The attacks occurred on busy roads: the León-San Francisco and León-Lagos highways, at the exits of the city, and on the Mariano Escobedo and Costa Rica bridge.
These events were integrated into similar events in other states. One, on the Mexico-Guadalajara highway, on the Michoacán side and the other in Manzanillo.
Blockades of this nature have not occurred again in that region, although they have occurred in the Laja-Bajío region, an area of influence of the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel.
The narco-blockades have stopped but the penetration of crime in the municipal police has not.
PRIVATE DOCTORS ‘COVERS TO GET VACCINATIONS
A Leonese doctor who works in one of the best-known private clinics in this city won an amparo processed by the lawyer Alejandro Rocha that will give him the right to request to be immunized even if it does not correspond to him according to the federal government’s strategy, in the next batch that come to town.
The complainant filed the amparo a few days ago and on April 28 the fourth district court resolved a suspension for the doctor to register and vaccinate.
“The provisional suspension is granted to the complainant Rubén Martínez Reynoso, in order to be supplied with the vaccine against the virus that causes the SARS-CoV-2 disease, referring to its application schedule, in any case, for the following programming within the Municipality of León, Guanajuato. Said precautionary measure shall have its effects, as long as the complainant proves with an original or certified and suitable document that: a) He is attached to the private health institution he refers to and, b) He is active health personnel and provides face-to-face services in said hospital.
In the understanding that once the complainant is scheduled, for the application of the vaccine, it will be his responsibility to be on the day, time and place indicated by the authority, since it is clear that the shortage of those cannot allow a new scheduling ”Says the resolution.
Faced with the absurd postponement of the application of vaccines to doctors and nurses in the private sector, there are the alternatives offered by Mexican law.
Already in the state of Mexico, a group of 15 doctors who work in private clinics won their respective protections and surely in other entities they are also being processed. And maybe in Guanajuato there could be more.
And in the federal government it is not seen for when they finish with those traumas and arguments that in the end are discriminatory.
