In this podcast episode, I’m talking about a super exciting and at the same time super challenging topic: our family of origin.
In my work with separated adult children, a look at the families of origin sometimes suggests that our family of origin is more of a burdensome mortgage than a valuable resource in terms of our relationship patterns.
I have come to believe that our family of origin is both a mortgage and a resource, and in this episode I want to tell you why I think so.
You will find out why the topic of family of origin is usually quite challenging for us separated children, but why we cannot avoid it if we want to get to the bottom of our relationship patterns. I am talking about why I look for a loving gaze on this subject in two ways: A loving gaze at myself and the experiences made. But also to take a loving look at all members of our family of origin, especially our parents.
In this episode you will find out why our family of origin always contains valuable resources and why it sometimes takes a while for us to recognize them.
I wish you a lot of inspiration!
