Bambang Brodjonegoro and Yenny Wahid are on the Board of Commissioners of Bukalapak

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Bukalapak is holding a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) today Saturday (1/5/2021) which is attended by the Board of Directors and Shareholders. In addition to providing a description of the performance throughout 2020, the GMS also announced the appointment of the President Commissioner Bambang Brodjonegoro as well as Commissioner Yenny Wahid.

Bukalapak CEO Rachmat Kaimuddin revealed, Bukalapak’s performance throughout 2020 recorded an increase of 4 million Pelapak and Bukalapak Partners. So that now Bukalapak has more than 6.5 million pelapak, 7 million Bukalapak partners and 100 million users, 70 percent of which are dominated by users outside of big cities.

“This shows the role of Bukalapak’s digitization is not only centered in big cities but also reaches all regions that have access and infrastructure challenges. Bukalapak continues to develop features and services both on platform marketplace or O2O (online to offline), to answer the needs of the community, especially in the current pandemic situation, ”said Rachmat in a press release.

On the other hand, the appointment of President Commissioner Bambang Brodjonegoro and Commissioner Yenny Wahid is expected to encourage collaboration by continuing to innovate and make technology as crucial and must be adopted so that MSMEs develop.

“Bambang Brodjonegoro and Yenny Wahid are expected to have a greater impact on technology adoption in MSMEs as well as innovations that lead to digital transformation and strengthening of MSMEs,” said Rachmat.

On the same occasion, Yenny Wahid said, Bukalapak has created a strategic market place for MSMEs to continue to develop in line with digital progress.

“By joining Bukalapak, it is hoped that it can form a synergy that creates more business opportunities to help MSMEs and support national economic recovery,” said Yenny.

Rachmat said, Bukalapak will continue its commitment to become platform online and O2O (online to offline) create market access for buying and selling activities with the support of accessible business and technology ecosystems, and create a better life and contribute to economic growth.
