TURIN. A May 1st on three squares: that of CGIL, CISL and UIL, in Piazza San Carlo, that of autonomous trade unions in piazza Castello and that No Tav who, a few minutes ago, started in procession from Piazza Vittorio towards Via Roma. The demonstrators, about five hundred, behind the banner: “To save ourselves we must change the system.”
In recent days, the various acronyms had asked to be able to use Piazza San Carlo as a stage, in conjunction with the traditional event organized by Cgil, Cisl and Uil. But the police headquarters denied them authorization for reasons of public order, also because the space had already been “optioned” for some time by the confederal unions.

Institutional celebrations In the Municipality, in the Carpanini room, the institutional celebrations of May Day are taking place. Instead, a dispute in Piazza Castello where a wooden guillotine was set up with the puppet of the Prime Minister Mario Draghi and on the ground beheaded puppets of the general secretary of the CGIL Maurizio Landini and the symbols of the Democratic Party, Più Europa and Leu.

The social segment At about 11 the social segment of the procession pretended to want to reach the Royal Gardens, then tried to break through the cordon of the police to take via Palazzo di Città which leads to the Municipality. A policeman was slightly injured when he fell to the ground. The antagonists wanted to go to the town hall because in its halls the secretaries of the confederal unions are broadcasting the debate that the little public is watching from Piazza San Carlo. Police responded with a lightening charge.
