The 1st of May still inspires pastry chefs with this lily of the valley to taste

FOOD- This is an opportunity to redouble your imagination. Rather than offering a sprig of lily of the valley to our loved ones to bring them luck, why not innovate with a creation that we can eat? On the occasion of May 1st, Labor Day, many pastry chefs are indeed looking to stand out, with these trompe-l’oeil in the effigy of these spring flowers.

Eric Kayser bakeries offer, in particular, a chocolate pastry made from a soft meringue, an intense chocolate mousse and a crunchy chocolate cookie… “Find our wonderful lucky charm in all our bakeries”, states the house on his Instagram account.

The Mathieu bakery, which has three brands (Lille, Hem and Marcq-en-Barœul), also offers original creations on the occasion of May 1st. “Give your loved ones a touch of original and delicious lily of the valley!”, We can read in the description of the photo posted on the bakery’s Instagram account.

Pastries in the shape of little jars of lily of the valley, made with a Taravina milk chocolate entourage, a layering of praline crisp, Guanaja chocolate mousse and, to finish, a chocolate crumble. The final touch: a pretty flower of lily of the valley with white chocolate that brightens it all up.

An enticing rendering which, by its visual and its taste, “will bring you happiness and will fill you with pleasure”.

A way to “give pleasure in a different way”, according to Patrick roger, chocolate sculptor. This year, the artist offers “a little bit of lily of the valley fondant and delicious to eat”.

His creations, topped with hazelnut praline and whole caramelized hazelnuts, are as beautiful as they are irresistible. You can get them now, in all Patrick Roger stores, eleven in total.

And for those who are watching their line, let us remember that, unlike last year, florists, garden centers, associations and individuals will be able to sell the traditional sprig of May 1st lily of the valley under almost usual conditions.
