In the United States, investigators searched the New York apartment and an office of ex-President Trump’s lawyer, Giuliani.
According to media reports, it is about alleged involvement in the Ukraine affair. Accordingly, the prosecutor is investigating whether Giuliani exercised unfair influence on the Trump administration on behalf of Ukrainian businessmen. Giuliani’s lawyer described the process as politically motivated.
The Ukraine affair led to the first impeachment proceedings against Trump in 2019. It was about allegations because his campaign team had tried to connect the then competitor and eventual winner Biden with allegedly dubious deals of his son Hunter in the Ukraine.
