Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (04/30/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 12,812 analyzes were carried out and 2,702 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 2,702 new cases, 1,216 are from Montevideo, 353 from Canelones, 131 from Tacuarembó, 120 from Colonia, 115 from Soriano, 104 from Salto, 103 from Maldonado, 86 from Artigas, 84 from San José, 81 from Paysandú, 71 from Rivera, 44 from Río Negro, 43 from Cerro Largo, 43 from Durazno, 30 from Florida, 24 from Treinta y Tres, 22 from Rocha, 21 from Lavalleja and 11 from Flores.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,802,140 tests have been processed and 198,428 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 167,823 have already been recovered.

Today, 53 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 2,616 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 27,989 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 548 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 6,667 correspond to health personnel. 6,282 of them have already recovered, 370 are suffering from the disease and 15 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
