Kastara.ID, Jakarta – Twitter is said to be designing a new feature, namely the Twitter money transfer or send feature that allows users to provide tips to other users.
An application developer named June Machun Wong stated via uploads on his Twitter account. In the post he attached a screenshot showing the Cash button at the top of the user, or what is called a Tip Jar on Twitter on iOS 14.
By tapping the icon, the page will display a dropdown menu with payment options via Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal, and Venmo.
Apart from that, this feature is also found on the Twitter Space profile page, which is a feature of Twitter’s Clubhouse competitor. This was first discovered by Wong in March.
Quoted by iMore, testing this feature is considered as finalizing the concept of the Twitter ecosystem that can be monetized for its users. Twitter is also reportedly developing a Super Follow feature.

This feature is different from regular Follow, because other users have to subscribe to a fee to be able to access uploads or exclusive content from creator accounts that are included in this category, reported by The Verge.
In the mockup screenshot, Twitter shows an example of a user charging USD 4.99 per month or around IDR 72,000 to receive a set of perks.
The content is in the form of bonus tweets, newsletter subscriptions, access to community groups, and badges that show user support. What’s different about Super Follow is that it displays icons and text in black instead of Twitter’s typical blue color. (nth)
