At the beginning of the semifinals, the Karviná handball players unexpectedly lost at 29:30 at home, then won by three goals in Lovosice and did not give the guests a chance today. Each half they won by a difference of five goals. The best scorer of the match was Vojtěch Patzel with ten goals.
“After about six matches, we played our better match. Lovosice did not succeed today, but I do not want to reduce our performance. He was especially good in attack, the defense was still a bit haphazard. The last match will probably be in Lovosice,” Karviná coach Michal Brůna told Czech Television.
“We entered the match terribly badly, we gave it to them completely. We didn’t play what we said. We made Karviná much easier, we didn’t have to fight for the victory at all,” said Lovosic coach Jan Landa.
