The exhibition is about Danish royal history and shows the kings and queens of Denmark. Margrethe and Benedikte were received by museum director Thomas Thulstrup.
The exhibition also includes work by the queen herself. Margrethe was able to spend extra time on her embroidery hobby during the corona pandemic. This has resulted in an enormous amount of work. More than a hundred of them are on display. There are, among other things, cushions and stools that the queen has decorated.
She does not keep all of the embroideries that Margrethe has made recently. Much of it she gives away as gifts. She comes up with the design herself and the colors adapt the queen to the person receiving it or the room where it will be hung.
The exhibition can be admired until January 2.
