Jeff Kaplan announced that he will leave his position as director and designer at the video game development company Blizzard, after spending almost 19 years with the company.
Through a statement, the developer of World of Warcraft (WoW), and “the father” of Overwatch, gave details about the reasons for his departure from the company.
“It was truly the honor of a lifetime to have the opportunity to create worlds and heroes for such a passionate audience. I want to express my deep appreciation to everyone at Blizzard who supported our games, our gaming teams and the players, ”he said.
While video game lovers are concerned about the development of the Overwatch sequel, Blizzard Entertainment announced that Aaron Keller will take over the direction of the delivery, having worked alongside Kaplan for almost 18 years.
