At the age of 54 years, Heidi Olson Jones, managed to wear her favorite swimwear. Why not, his body is getting slimmer thanks to that weight loss up to 52 pounds.

Advantages body weight made Jones accustomed to wearing T-shirts and shorts while swimming. Previously, the woman from Oregon, United States of America weighed up to 140 kilograms. Practically, that weight puts him as the one with obesity.

“It feels very good. My weight is not yet ideal. I will never be thin. But, I just want to feel comfortable,” said Jones. Today.

Jones started his weight loss journey in 2018. “Weight loss is not fast. But pound for pound of body weight is slowly disappearing,” he said.

1. Stop consuming refined sugar

Jones doesn’t try to stick to certain types of diets. One of the things he did was stop sugar consumption.

“Sugar is my enemy,” said Jones.

Jones does not consume refined sugar at all. He also often drinks coffee without sugar and does not eat foods that contain a lot of sugar such as donuts, cakes and biscuits.

However, for sweet taste intake, Jones still consumes fruits.

2. Pay attention to portions

Jones also began to pay attention to the portions. Almost all food he can still enjoy. However, he did notice how many calories were on his plate.

For breakfast, for example, he consumes 45 grams of oatmeal, 37 grams of nuts, and one banana.

Jones estimates that on average he eats less than 1,800 calories per day.

3. Listen for body cues

Jones tries to always be aware of when he feels hungry and when he feels full.

4. Smart inside snacking

Jones also continued to snack between meals. However, of course with different snack choices.

Jones often makes edamame beans as a healthy protein snack. Then, there is also popcorn that makes you full and healthy.

Jones also doesn’t avoid fat. He still enjoys butter, mayonnaise, and yogurt with fat.

If you want to snacking something sweet, Jones will eat fresh fruit or dried apricots.

5. Often on foot

The habit of walking is like a savior for Jones. He tries to walk for at least 30 minutes five days a week.

“It makes me feel better. It makes me move,” said Jones.

After losing so much weight, Jones felt great. He now weighs 194 pounds. Cholesterol levels have fallen over the past five years.

“I want to be healthy to be the main. Being able to use a swimsuit is only an added benefit,” concluded Jones.
