The goals of the transformation are:
– Increase lobby space to reduce congestion and handle future growth,
– Unify station operations, such as ticket sales, waiting areas and cleaning services for all railways,
– Add more stairs, escalators and elevators to distribute passengers along the narrow platforms, which will mean a total of 30 new ways to get to the platforms,
– Provide full accessibility in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and introduce new retail opportunities.
