The well-known Latvian actor Rūdolfs Plēpis celebrated his 70th anniversary last September, but on the eve of the big day, the stage artist revealed that he had lost his light. Now the Latvian Theater Workers’ Union (LTDS) has posted a request on Facebook to help an actor who needs long and expensive vision rehabilitation.
“Every effort is currently being made to perform various expensive procedures for vision rehabilitation, and they are planned to be performed for a long time without losing hope of restoring vision,” the LTDS said in a statement.

As the actor told Kas Jauns magazine last September, he moved in with his daughter Victoria three months ago because he had lost his sight.
“How was it? I wouldn’t feel anything myself. There were no signs of it, except that I had been dizzy regularly for six months before. I woke up one morning and I had a dark picture, ” discovered Ripper.
The next day he went to the doctor, underwent surgery. “In general, there are some improvements, and the doctor was also glad that the eye pressure has returned to normal, but they do not talk about complete vision recovery,” said Pēpis, judging that the problem could be inherited.
LTDS invites a targeted donation for the medical expenses of Rūdolfs Plēpis in the fund “RAMPA A”, Reg.No. 40008124224, account no. LV65UNLA0050012432365.
