The ICT leader Huawei Cameroon, committed to training and transferring skills to Cameroonian youth since 2016, has just broadened its field of action through a new agreement which now binds it to the IAI (the Institute Africain d’Informatique) and IFTI-Sup.
Indeed Huawei officially organized on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at the IAI campus in Nkolanga, a signing ceremony of the Huawei ICT Academy Memorandum of Understanding with these two academic institutions. It was in the presence of the Resident Representative of IAI Cameroon, also Chairman of the Board of Directors of IFTIC-Sup, Armand Claude Abanda and the Managing Director of Huawei Cameroon, Mr. DU YIN.
The objective of this agreement is to transfer skills in the field of new information and communication technologies, as well as mastery of Huawei technology. An added value which, in the opinion of the students of the IAI and the IFTIC-Sup, like Membou Jefferson, is “The icing on the cake, at a time when IT is updating …” In any case, it is obvious that the benefits of this agreement will be enormous for these two establishments and their students in terms of international credibility, especially since this training will ultimately be crowned by obtaining Huawei certifications. .
For Edmonde Djiokeng Teboh, Huawei Public Relations Director, CEMAC zone, it is a question of: “Share knowledge with the youngest so that they are much more integrated into the world of employment, so that they are much more ready to move towards the development of start-ups which is a sector which is in the process of gain momentum today in Cameroon. And Huawei remains ready to support the academies and partner institutions of this program. “
After the signing of this memorandum, Armand Claude Abanda, very satisfied with the deal, addressed the press: “It is for our students to train in Huawei technologies, it is very important for our students to have facilities in partnerships with global technology giants. As you know, Huawei serves as a global technology giant that we want to share with students and educators. Our students will have the opportunity to invent, create and develop their country through the transfer of skills that is done so well with Huawei. This is why I would like here to thank once again the Managing Director of Huawei in Cameroon… ”
the CEO of Huawei-Cameroon DU YIN, was on the same wavelength as his predecessors, during the press briefing: “The agreement that we have just signed with the IAI and the IFTIC-Sup, is very important, insofar as it will enable Cameroonian students to acquire knowledge in the field of NTIC, and to tie in with international competitiveness .. “, before adding that with this memorandum his company does not intend to stop on such a good path, and that in the days to come, it is likely that several agreements of this type will be signed with other academic institutions.
As a reminder, several academic institutions are already benefiting from the training Huawei ICT Academy which, it should be remembered, is a strategic plan to develop local talents in ICT, in response to the digital economy plan planned for 2035 by the Cameroonian Head of State, His Excellency Paul Biya.
