1681 people are newly infected with coronavirus in our country for the last 24 hours. This was announced on the air of Nova TV by the Chief State Health Inspector Angel Kunchev.
We remind you that tonight the Unified Information Portal did not publish data on the extent of the disease.
Assoc. Prof. Kunchev explained that this is probably due to a technical problem. For the last 24 hours, the tests performed are 13,423, of which 7,735 are PCR and 5,688 are antigenic.
“We continue to have about 14-15% positive cases from all surveyed, which is good,” he concluded.
8,309 people with proven COVID-19 were hospitalized. Of these, 781 people are accommodated in intensive care units.
For the last 24 hours, the victims are 103, said the chief state health inspector.
We are coming out of the third wave, it is not clear what will happen from there.
“Ask me another question,” he said succinctly when asked about the future of the National Operational Headquarters.
“I am overwhelmed by the politicization of the crisis, especially the coincidence of the elections with the third wave. Two factors hinder in all epidemic situations – a limited resource in health care and high distrust of institutions,” said Kunchev.
He expressed concern about what is happening in India, as there is a high incidence and several strains are mixed.
“A new variant of K-19 that is not affected by the vaccine is our biggest nightmare”, concluded the specialist.
“Mass vaccination will start in May. The important thing for AstraZeneca is that women who do not fall into these risk groups, do not take contraceptives, etc., complete the vaccination with the second dose of it,” he said.
