Fair Park has 1,800 Pfizer vaccines due to expire Monday; Wanted interested

Dallas County invites more people to get vaccinated in the coming days. According to the county judge, there are 1,800 Pfizer vaccines that are due to expire on Monday and require people who want to be immunized against COVID-19.

The Fair Park megacenter will operate Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., but could close early on Friday in case of storms.

Jenkins asked the public not to delay their vaccination. “We are in a race against time to achieve herd immunity” and avoid new mutations that could circumvent the protections of the vaccine.

“This is a battle not only for the health of you and your community, but also for the economy of our country,” Jenkins insisted through the county’s daily report on Wednesday.

According to Texas State Health Services, 941,139 Dallas residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 567,929, or 28%, are already fully immunized.
