The José Rojas Garcidueñas Reading Center and the Municipal Public Libraries provide services to basic education students to attend virtual classes and do homework under the sanitary measures established by the health sector.
This service began to be provided from January 2021 with an orange traffic light for free to minors who do not have computer equipment or Internet to take their classes remotely.
In addition to this service provided by the José Rojas Garcidueñas Reading Center, consultancies are also offered to carry out school work, with the Bartolomé Sánchez Torrado library being the one with the highest demand.
It should be noted that the virtual class model began in March 2020, when the first case of Coronavirus was registered in Guanajuato, which activated the danger alerts and in turn made the SEG and SSG act immediately so that the classes in the classrooms were suspended.
Given this, the use of electronic devices such as computers, mobile devices and tablets became essential to continue with classes, but now in a virtual way.
For this reason, both public and private institutions were given the task of providing a service to all those children who will not have internet by allowing the use of their facilities as areas where they could study.
