The number of new corona infections has continued to decrease in Hamburg. According to the social authority, 297 new corona cases were registered on Sunday. That is 43 fewer cases than a week ago and 105 fewer than on Saturday.
According to the social authority, a total of 68,251 people in the Hanseatic city have tested positive for the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 58,500 people in Hamburg can now be considered recovered.

Four more deaths
According to the social services authority, 281 corona patients are being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals as of Friday, 103 of them in intensive care units. According to the RKI, 1,431 people have died in connection with Covid 19 in the Hanseatic city between the start of the pandemic and Saturday. That’s two more than reported on Friday.
